Il Fornaio, Caffe Del Mondo at the San Francisco International Airport is looking for reliable, self motivated
bartenders for our new, full-service bar in the International Terminal. Ideal candidates must be outgoing,
energetic, friendly, have experience, be able to work autonomously and be able to provide excellent customer
service for our guests.
Candidates must also have the following qualifications:
• Take direction well and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Speak, read and write fluently in English
• 21 years of age or older
• Able to provide excellent current references
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Setting up and opening bar
• Ensuring guest satisfaction
• Maintaining reasonable liquor costs through proper pouring
• Keeping track of liquor and supply inventory
• Restocking, including some heavy lifting
• Preparing drinks for customers
• Using POS system correctly
• Proper food handling for customers
• Keeping station clean as well as performing other delegated projects
• Proper handling of cash transactions and securing bar at closing
This is an exciting position for someone who is interested in learning the basics of operating and maintaining a
full service bar. Our clientele is diverse and SFO provides unique challenges for our restaurants. Successful
candidates will report to manager on duty. This is a Local Union 2 position and applicants must pass an extensive
10 year criminal background check conducted by the FBI. We offer competitive hourly rate with full and part time

Please have wine knowledge and know the basic varietals and how they are different. It’s also extremely
important for you to be able to handle a big section or work by yourself and handle it without a problem. We need
strong servers/bartenders who can work efficiently by themselves.
Start times vary, starting at 10am for weekends and 3pm for weeknights. We are generally closed Mondays and
weekday lunches but sometimes open up for the holidays.
