Grape Expectations Wine Bar & Merchant in downtown Plymouth, a nice, upscale wine bar/restaurant, is seeking a full-time bartender/server for day and evening shifts. Specifically Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday day shift as bartender and weekday evening shifts as a server. Schedule flexibility is essential — this is a full-time position, do not apply if you cannot work these shifts or to have as a second job.
We will accept resumes with experience only. A server with willingness and ability to multi-task can be trained
as bartender.
Must be of legal drinking age as waitstaff samples wines in order to speak intelligently about them to
guests.
We are a smaller restaurant/bar with a good staff that gets along well and works together.
The ideal candidate must possess basic knowledge about wine and have willingness/desire to learn more. Memorization
of our wine list is mandatory and all waitstaff must obtain certain level of comprehension in order to be placed on
the floor.
Candidate must have a sense of urgency, move quickly, and engage guests. Bartender is often only waitstaff during
the day shift so the ability to handle several tables effectively is essential.
The day shift requires some cleaning and tidying of the bar and/or restaurant area.
We are a non-smoking bar/restaurant. No smoking breaks during shifts are permitted for waitstaff.
Must possess at least a high school diploma.
Server wage: $2.65/hr + tips
Bartender wage: $8.00/hr + tips
